Hear from regulators, thought-leaders and keynotes, who are making a difference in the OHS culture

All employers are required under workplace health and safety laws to provide a clear set of OHS policies and procedures to protect the safety, health and welfare of the people engaged in work or employment. Due to today’s growing interest in mental health & well-being and return to work policies, Safety in Action introduces two portfolio conferences to run concurrently with the premier Safety in Action Conference of the year. The Safety in Action Conferences will take place on 5-6 September at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre and will run alongside the well-known Safety in Action trade show.

In the past 12 months, one in five Australian employees reported that they have taken time off work due to feeling mentally unwell, due to stress, anxiousness or depression. Following that less than half of employees state their workplace has a return to work policy for staff experiencing a mental health condition. Meanwhile, all employers are required to provide in place policies and plans for the return to work of both injured or mentally ill employees.

To deliver a more tailored event experience for today’s OHS leaders, Safety in Action presents three co-located, high-profile conferences, discussing Safety Strategy, Leadership and Culture, Workplace Wellness and Return to Work. With over 350 delegates and 70+ speakers and all three conferences running concurrently, delegates will be able to switch sessions and plan a track to suit their requirements.*

Over 700 delegates have attended the Safety in Action Conference in the last two years to hear from regulators, thought-leaders and International keynotes who are making a difference in safety culture. “With fantastic speakers throughout the three conferences, this festival of excellence provides something for all of the safety community. While the premier Safety in Action Conference will be linking Safety Strategy, Leadership and Culture, the Workplace Wellness Conference will be identifying strategies to enhance mental and physical well-being and productivity of the Australian Workforce. The Return to Work Conference will discuss some of the best practices that support employees through the process of rehabilitation and manages their return to the workplace in a timely and safe manner.

Co-located with the three conferences is the Safety in Action Trade show, Australia’s leading occupational health and safety event. The Safety in Action Show is trade only event and is free to attend.
